In their words
We help people of all ages: a parent staying independent at home, the adult child or neighbor who arranges it, and anyone who just wants their own technology to make sense. Older adults are our specialty, not our only work. Here's what people say, grouped by who we were helping.
Living independently at home
I'm a double transplant survivor. When everyday tasks suddenly became overwhelming, my husband reimagined our whole home with technology, and it gave me back freedom, confidence, and peace of mind. When my mother had a stroke, we did it again, turning her “pity list” of everything that had gotten hard into a list of what we could fix. That's why we created SrIT.
Getting comfortable with tech
After my divorce I moved into a new place with a box of cables and gadgets and no clue what any of it was for. My son had just given me a new smart TV, and I figured I probably needed all of it. Greg sat down with me, asked how I actually watch TV and use the internet, and helped me understand what the technology was and how to use it. He even helped me get rid of what I didn't need the right way: some of it sold, some went back to the cable company, and the rest got recycled. Thanks to the SrIT consultation, I am more confident with the choices and application of my technology.
When we started planning our wedding, the tech side felt like a second job. Greg built us a beautiful wedding website, walked us through how to handle the invitations, and even set us up with our own custom web address so everything was simple to share. Afterward he helped me sort and preserve all our photos and get them safely onto sharing sites. He made the whole thing easy, and never once made me feel like I was asking a silly question.
